Ice Cream giants Häagen-Dazs have announced online they are adding two new vegan milkshakes to its famous scoop shops across Portugal. The delicious sounding brand new Coconut Cooler milkshakes are made using coconut milk which then have scoops of either mango or raspberry sorbet added to them. If like us you’re vegan ice cream craving have been off the chart this summer then this news is a very welcome change however as we’re based in the UK we will have to wait a little longer until it is available here. We have contacted Häagen-Dazs to ask if it will be available here however they have not got any confirmed dates in place yet. There are still other options available for you though so don’t panic, Magnum do a vegan class and a new vegan almond ice cream to try and curb those cravings in the meantime and Ben and Jerrys also do a few flavours that taste pretty yum!
The new options aren’t the first things that Häagen-Dazs have brought out that are suitable for vegans as they already have over ten different vegan options including; Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge, Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge, Mocha Chocolate Cookie and more. Their scoop shops in the US do not offer the new summer milkshakes (sorry to our US readers) however Häagen-Dazs sells a variety of vegan pints and bars there so you don’t need to worry too much as there is still lots to choose from. Häagen-Dazs have been crafting dreamy ice cream flavours like no other since their beginning in 1961. The founder Reuben Mattus’ vision was to make the most breathtaking ice cream the world has ever tasted, which he often described as a spoonful of luxury to escape the everyday. In order to pitch himself at the top of the ice cream brand ladder he only used the highest quality, carefully selected ingredients.
